THEATRE AND CINEMA

There is no lack of theatre programming in Oviedo. Every year, there are various cycles that present works of extremely diverse styles. The Teatro Filarmónica (Philharmonic Theatre) hosts most of the performances. Plays during the San Mateo festivities, classic theatre, plays for children, amateur theatre, plays in the Asturian language… A varied offering for all tastes.

Oviedo also programmes a multitude of film cycles, such as the Semana del Audiovisual Contemporáneo de Oviedo (Oviedo Contemporary Audiovisual Week - SACO), specific film cycles, and the Documentary of the Month.
