Oviedo provides a wide range of options to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. The cultural programme ranges from zarzuela, dance and opera festivals to theatre and film seasons, such as the Semana de lo Audiovisual Contemporáneo de Oviedo (Oviedo Contemporary Audiovisual Week - SACO).

You can also participate, as if you were another “carbayón” (local inhabitant of Oviedo), in the “folixas” (fun events) that Oviedo hosts throughout the year, including the San Mateo Festivities, the Ascension Fair or Martes de Campo (Field Tuesday); enjoy, as a family, the leisure and cultural programme designed specifically for the youngest, or do some exercise at some of the municipal facilities.
