Cafca and VESU, festivals to kick off the summer

Oviedo starts the summer with two festivals with wich it wants to extend its cultural offer to new proposals and to young and family audiences.

Thus, CAFCA (festival of Culture, Art, Family and Open City) includes, at the end of June, performing arts activities such as street theater, performances, clowns, puppets or cinema in the street but it also includes installations and workshops (self-edition of recordings, shadows, edition of fanzines or whisperers) in the old Fábrica de la Vega and the striking vertical dance in the Plaza de la Escandalera.

And then, at the beginning of July, the VESU (Vestusta Suena) is held, a festival of urban and independent music, also located mainly in La Vega, with up to eleven performances over four days of indie, indie pop and indie rock music.

Two initiatives that were born in times of pandemic and that have had a great success whit the public in their first editions.
